I am so pleased that the times of having lots of hands on science learning followed by dreary experiment 'write-ups' have disappeared to be replaced by awesome apps on our iPads. The fun science learning is still there, the 'write-up' has been replaced! Apps like 'Explain Everything' allow the students to share what they have done and explain the science involved in a way that engages them and reinforces the learning they have experienced. Not to mention they can share their learning with anyone they choose via their class blog.
Room 10 carried out an investigation into how to create their own Lava Lamps and discovered some fascinating science concepts while they did it. In R11 I got to watch a couple of groups Friction explanations. I was confused until their explanations set me straight!

This Tuesday marked the first day of our Rubbish Free Lunch days. This term we are trying to do this one day a week. Our Ecowarriors are leading the charge, sending out information to parents about how to provide rubbish free lunches and giving feedback and rewards to students who make an effort on our Rubbish Free Tuesday.
I am really proud of the great work Mrs Davidson and our Ecowarriors are doing so how about we all get right in behind them!!
