I was walking back into school this afternoon after watching our soccer team compete in Rangiora and was struck by some of the cool things happening around the school. Our cooking team arrived back from the Maggi cook off, so did our Year 7/8 sports teams and our Year 3/4 children were enjoying some dancing on the courts. This is what primary school is all about I say!
Yes Fraser it was a great Friday and it is what school is all about. I am so proud of the Swannanoa Country Chefs, they really cooked their hats off today and impressed all three judges. Even if they don't progress any further in the competition the School Community can be immensely proud of their efforts. Well done team!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely Fraser. Fantastic to see the kids learning in such a wide range of hands on activities. It was great seeing senior students ending the day on such a high after being very competitive in sports and cooking against some very big schools. Thank you to the staff, BOT,H+S and parents for giving the students the encouragement to do these activities. And well done to the students for putting everything into it!
